Spatial Refraction

Spatial Refraction is an installation piece that is structurally inspired by the fractal properties of muqarnas, a form of ornamented vaulting in Islamic architecture. The viewer becomes aware of their perception in relation to the installation through the reflections and refractions of space through the mirrors.

Section106 Project

The Section106 Project is a collective effort between artists, researchers, and architects to explore the ways in which we can bridge the gap between the hermetic art world and ongoing global problems, such as global warming and displaced populations.

The videos of natural disasters and human displacement as augmented reality components to the sculpture are explorations of both the mission of the overall project as well as technological components that may be added to the actual art fair.
